I'm Casey (she/her), based in Queens, NY. Born and raised in New York City, with an education rooted in visual arts and technology, I bring diverse perspectives, creativity, and inclusivity into my work.
I'm a UX Designer at Google. Prior to that, I worked as a Cloud Solutions Consultant, completed a year-long rotational program within Google Cloud, and graduated from the University of Michigan School of Information with a degree in User Experience.
I find myself drawing heavily on my background and my previous experiences in my current role. Being able to understand technical concepts and keeping customer-centricity at the forefront has shaped me into a well-rounded designer who deeply understands the "how" and "why" behind my work.
Outside of work, you'll typically find me rock climbing, throwing Korean-style pottery, baking a ton of bread, crocheting, playing games on the Nintendo Switch, or playing with my kittens, Poppy and Sesame!
• Finding the balance between achieving user satisfaction and aligning on business priorities. Designing for enterprise, on top of working in a client-facing role, has shown me the importance of maximizing value in my work.
• Creating designs that are user-centric and technically feasible to implement. Not only has my front-end development experience help in understanding software limitations, but it also allows for stronger collaboration with my engineering counterparts.
• Keeping design simple and effective. From my visual arts background, I believe that good design is rooted in simplicity, and overly complex solutions add extra noise.
